How this site works

Spotted and Finds pieces are not ours. Uncommon Artifact features watches and objects sold by other people — brands, retailers, auction houses, and thrift platforms. Featuring a piece does not mean we own it, stock it, or have handled it, and it is never an offer to sell it to you. Where a piece lives is stated in its write-up, with prices timestamped to when we spotted them.

The Shop is separate. Items in the Shop section are ours, in hand, and described from inspection. If a write-up links to the Shop, that link is to a similar piece we actually stock — it says so.

Affiliate links. Some outbound links to brands and retailers may be affiliate links, which pay us a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Picks are chosen first and linked second; a commission never decides what gets featured. Affiliate links are marked in the “Want one?” block of each write-up.

Prices move. Auction prices are snapshots. We update auction write-ups with the final hammer price after the close, and keep the original spotted price visible so the record stays honest.

Corrections. If we get a fact wrong, we fix the write-up and note the fix. Email concierge@uncommonartifact.com.
