Two dials, one case, a $500 gap. The cheaper one is the stronger buy — and the one worth featuring.

What it is
“The Vessel” is Wren's Sunray edition: 150 pieces at $2,900. A second, meteorite-dial version exists at $3,400 — we featured the Sunray, and only the Sunray, because it's the stronger buy of the two.

Why it matters
At $2,900 a microbrand is asking to be judged against serious competition. The case for the Vessel is focus: one dial treatment, one small run, no line extension noise. Editions like this live or die on whether the finishing justifies the ask in hand — the Sunray's dial work is the argument.

What to check before buying
- Verify the full spec on Wren's own page before buying — movement and case details weren't in the announcement material we worked from, and at $2,900 they matter.
- Compare the two versions honestly. The meteorite is $500 more for a dial material story; decide which you'd rather look at daily.
- 150 pieces, direct sales. No retailer safety net; read the brand's returns terms before ordering.
